Find Peace. Heal Deeply.
Life can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate it alone. At Oasis Psychotherapy, we provide a calm, supportive space where you can slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.
Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, addictions, or trauma, or simply seeking more clarity and self-understanding, we're here to help you move forward gently and intentionally.

What we do
-
My mission is to help my client begin to make change in his or her life. The first step can be the most difficult. Or, to quote the proverb, “The longest journey begins with one step.”
-
Change is possible. It can feel impossible to imagine doing anything differently, but we start small to create ripples of change and healing. We will start with a change that feels possible to you.
-
We can come to see our dysfunction or our differences as neutral, if not positive.
-
We can reach a place where we are not controlled by our trauma / mental illness and are able to take that control into our own hands. We can take back our power over our own lives.
-
I guide clients by standing alongside them during this challenging process. I gently encourage clients and teach them to encourage themselves. My clients are in the midst of working to change their lives, and I support them with kindness, understanding, and positivity.
-
I help people learn a new way of thinking which translates into a new way of doing things. I help the client solve his or her own issues; I do not solve the issues for them.
-
My approach is to combine talk and movement. Traditional talk therapy or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) combined with somatic therapy (focused on moving the body to release emotion / energy / trauma) is very effective even in cases where there is no clearcut solution.
About Me
Get to Know Me
My name is Rachel Vinson, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas with over 10 years of experience. I never set out to become a therapist. I only wanted to understand people and myself better. The connection with my clients and the love I have for them guided me to what I was meant to do: support others in their journeys of healing.
I originally believed that I wanted to work in the forensic system, but my own health struggles made that impossible. So, I began treating individuals in private practice and discovered that I loved serving this clientele. A challenge for me (my physical health) became a growth opportunity.
My goal as a therapist is to help my clients overcome their own struggles and create growth and change from hardship and challenges.
